1. Who operates USAFIRI

USAFIRI is operated by ICT PROSPECTS, Tanga, Tanzania.

2. Information we collect

USAFIRI may collect the following personal and account-related information:

• Account information: name, phone number, email, user ID or account information, authentication method, and rider/driver account information
• Authentication information: phone OTP, email/password, and Google Sign-In account details when used
• Location data: current or precise location where permission is granted, pickup location, destination, driver location, route/trip information, and location used for matching riders and drivers
• Ride information: ride requests, pickup and destination details, vehicle category, driver/rider matching, trip status, fare information, trip history, and ratings/feedback
• Driver information: name and contact details, NIDA/passport information, driving licence and expiry, vehicle type, make/model/year/color, registration/plate number, driver approval status, and payout provider and payout phone number
• Device and security information: device/app information, IP/security information where collected by the platform or providers, crash/diagnostic information where applicable, and fraud/security signals

3. How USAFIRI uses this data

We use personal information to:

• Create and manage user accounts and authentication
• Match riders and drivers and provide ride requests
• Provide navigation, location-based services, and trip routing
• Support driver approval, onboarding and onboarding checks
• Manage trips, fares, status updates, and trip history
• Provide customer support and respond to user requests
• Prevent fraud, misuse, abuse, and improve platform security
• Meet legal, regulatory and compliance obligations
• Improve service reliability, performance, and user experience

4. Data sharing

Necessary information may be shared between riders and drivers to complete trips and provide the service. For example, rider and driver contact details, pickup and destination details, trip status, and route-related information may be shared as needed to facilitate a ride.

USAFIRI may also share personal information with technology and service providers that process data on our behalf to operate the platform, provide infrastructure, host services, support authentication, process location data, and enable analytics or customer support.

5. Service providers

We may use third-party service providers to support our operations. These include categories of providers such as cloud and infrastructure providers, authentication services, hosting and backend services, mapping and location providers, analytics tools, customer support tools, and security providers.

For the current system, we specifically disclose that Google/Firebase services may be used for authentication and cloud functionality, and Google mapping/location services may be used where applicable.

6. Payments

Where payment or payout features are available, payment or payout providers may process information necessary to complete those functions. USAFIRI does not currently store users' card details directly.

7. Security

USAFIRI uses technical and organizational security controls, including authentication, access restrictions, secure network communications, and other measures designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure of personal data.

8. Retention

Information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the provision of services, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, and other legitimate operational needs. We do not keep personal information longer than necessary unless required by law or necessary for a valid business purpose.

9. Account deletion

Users can request deletion of their USAFIRI account and associated personal data through the account deletion process. You may access the deletion page here:

10. User privacy rights

Subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information. If you need to exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@ict.tz.

11. Children

USAFIRI does not knowingly collect children's personal information in contravention of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to USAFIRI without proper consent, please contact us immediately.

12. International processing

Some of our service providers or infrastructure may process personal information outside the user's country, including in cloud environments or systems operated by third parties, where applicable and lawful.

13. Policy changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time as USAFIRI develops, introduces new features, or changes how personal information is processed. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
