Account & Data Deletion

USAFIRI respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how USAFIRI users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
USAFIRI is operated by ICT PROSPECTS, Tanzania.
Request Account Deletion
If you have a USAFIRI account and would like it permanently deleted, you may submit an account deletion request.
Email: privacy@ict.tz
Subject: USAFIRI Account Deletion Request
Include:
- Your full name
- The phone number or email address associated with your USAFIRI account
- Whether your account is a Rider or Driver
Never include your password, OTP, PIN or other authentication credentials in your deletion request.
Identity Verification
To protect users against unauthorized deletion requests, USAFIRI may need to verify that you are the legitimate owner of the account.
We will never ask you to send your password or one-time authentication code by email.
What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted
Following verification and processing of a valid deletion request, USAFIRI will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account where deletion is appropriate.
This may include, as applicable:
- Account and profile information
- Contact information
- Authentication-related account records under our control
- Saved locations and preferences
- Ride-related personal information
- Ratings and feedback
- Driver profile information
- Driver and vehicle information
- Other personal information associated with the account
Deletion of your USAFIRI account is permanent. You may lose access to your account, ride history and other account-related information.
Information We May Need to Retain
Certain information may be retained after account deletion where reasonably necessary or legally required for purposes such as:
- Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations
- Tax and accounting requirements
- Fraud and abuse prevention
- Security and safety investigations
- Resolving outstanding transactions
- Handling complaints or disputes
- Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims
Where information must be retained, we will restrict its use to the applicable retention purpose and retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary or legally required.
Driver Accounts
Driver accounts may contain additional information associated with driver onboarding, identity verification, driving licences, vehicles, completed trips, payouts, safety matters or regulatory requirements.
Some driver records may therefore need to be retained for legally required or legitimate operational periods even after the driver account itself has been closed.
Deleting Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account
Where available, certain information may be updated or removed directly through the USAFIRI application.
You may also contact privacy@ict.tz if you wish to request deletion or correction of specific personal information without deleting your entire account.
Whether particular information can be deleted separately may depend on legal, security and operational requirements.
Processing Time
We aim to process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period and within any timeframe required by applicable law.
We may contact you if additional information is reasonably required to verify or complete your request.
